Phone number scam check

Check a phone number for scam reports in Kenya

A phone number is often the first reusable clue in a scam. Search it before you send money, share documents, or continue a high-pressure conversation.

When to search a phone number

Search any number that sends payment instructions, job offers, loan approvals, delivery requests, land-sale details, or urgent reversal claims.

Also search the same number with the company name, Paybill, Till, website, or social handle connected to the message.

How to treat the result

A report is a warning signal, not a court finding. Read the details, compare amounts and scam type, then verify independently before acting.

No report does not guarantee safety. New scam numbers may not have been reported yet, especially if they are rotated often.

Common questions

Can I check a Safaricom or Airtel number?

Yes. You can search Kenyan mobile numbers, but use the result as one safety signal alongside official verification and common-sense checks.

Should I report a number if I did not lose money?

Yes, if the message or call was clearly suspicious. Include safe context and avoid posting private IDs, OTPs, or unrelated personal details.
